Lady Gaga-Obama Compete For 10 Million Facebook Fans

Facebook publicist says the pop star and president of the United States in a fierce competition to become the first person with more than 10 million fans on social networking sites.

On Friday morning, Obama lead, with 9,058,881 fans. Lady Gaga followed behind with 9,023,966.

Both left behind more than four million fans of the No. 1 Michael Jackson, with 13,285,811. The singer died last year.

Obama pages run by groups of Organizing for the United States, also including the latest pictures of his visit to the Gulf Coast and links to speeches from the press conference.

Page that includes the president's interest list like "basketball, writing, spending time with the kids" and said his favorite books include the Bible, "Toni Morrison's Song of Solomon" and the tragedy of Shakespeare.

Lady Gaga page contains a list of concerts to come, including biographies that describe how the 24-year pop star who played the piano since the toddler grew into a stunning theatrical players and a striking appearance in an international concert tour.

"I'm just trying to change the world at one time sparkling," he said in a story he wrote.

Facebook says it has had more than 400 million active users.

Popularity contest does not officially appear in the race to attract one million followers in the micro-blogging site Twitter.

Actor Ashton Kutcher had time to beat CNN, that figure reached 30 minutes before CNN.

CNN challenging Kutcher will donate 10 000 mosquito nets to charity in the World Malaria Day if he were to beat CNN, and 1000 if he loses. CNN agreed to donate 20 000 nets.
