An Australian technology experts wallowing in millions of U.S. dollars when Disney bought homemade applications. In fact, several years ago he did not have a home and live in her friend's couch. As quoted from WAtoday, currently Andrew Lacy has brought his entire team to travel to Las Vegas with his own money, and never worry about money again.
Lacy-owned company, which is the manufacturer of the application Tapulous Game for iPhone and iPad with superior products mobile music game Tap Tap Revenge has acquired Disney with a value that is not mentioned. Not only that, Lacy will join the company as senior vice president.
This acquisition has changed the lives of Lacy, 34, who founded the company in 2008 together with Bart Decrem. However, Lacy is still simple because he had said he would not buy new sports cars, mansions, or take a trip to an exotic region.
"For me satisfaction in doing this is to see something has been developed. We have created this as something of value and provide income for many people in an era which is categorized by many to be the collapse of stock values over the past 30 years at least."
Like many technology entrepreneurs in Silicon Valley, Lacy is a hard worker who loved his job and does not intend to rest as soon as possible.
"When we first started Tapulous, I do not have a house and sleeping on the couch the other entrepreneurs. Currently, I have a private apartment and sometimes several businessmen sleeping on my couch," said Lacy.
To thank the 30 staff who work so hard, Lacy and Decrem plans to take them to Las Vegas next month, of course use the money owned by Lacy and Decrem. All the employees will still have their jobs after the acquisition and the main office will be located in Silicon Valley.
Lacy was reluctant to mention about his personal life, his relationship, as well as the acquisition value or type of car he drove. But it seems he is now a very wealthy man.
Tapulous announced that they managed to get a revenue of U.S. $ 1 million (USD 9.05 billion) in December last, and Lacy said the company will continue to grow rapidly.
Disney other internet companies before buying Club Penguin is worth U.S. $ 350 million (USD 3.16 trillion) in 2007. On the other hand, Electronic Arts recently bought Playfish, competitors Tapulous, worth U.S. $ 275 million (Rp2, 48 trillion) in cash.
But Lacy did not get all of this is accidental. He got his law degree and a commercial from the University of Melbourne before completing an MBA at Stanford University. Stanford is also the beginning of the land for a successful Silicon Valley entrepreneurs, including Google founders Sergey and Larry Page.
Previously, Lacy worked for five years at McKinsey in Australia, Asia and Europe in which to build internet business for several large companies and telecommunications advertising and media companies in digital distribution and content.
Lacy did not believe that he will achieve success when starting a business in Australia because it had experienced difficulty in obtaining access funds early, the share of the market to sell products, and collaborative environment where entrepreneurs can exchange ideas and information sources.
