Thirty-six percent of gays and lesbians surveyed said they read the news and events from the blog, whereas heterosexual adults who do that only 25 percent.
Twenty-five percent of gays and lesbians say they read entertainment and pop culture from the blog compared with 16 percent of heterosexuals. While 22 percent said they read political blogs compared to only 14 percent of the heterosexuals who read political news on the blog.
Tourism and travel related blogs are also more popular among gays and lesbians, where approximately 16 percent of them claimed to be a loyal reader of travel blogs than heterosexuals that only eight percent.
As many as 73 percent of gays and lesbians say they are members of Facebook, compared with 65 percent of heterosexuals. While gay men who have MySpace accounts, only 32 per cent compared to 22 percent of heterosexuals. Gay and lesbian also belongs to your network account in amounts greater than their heterosexual counterparts, respectively 22 percent and 16 percent.
In the same survey, approximately 29 percent of gays and lesbians say they are using Twitter mikroblogging services compared with 15 percent of heterosexual respondents.
In fact, 50 percent of gays and lesbians said they visit social networking sites at least once a day compared with 41 percent of heterosexual respondents.
