Research in Motion (RIM) is reportedly developing a touch screen smartphone with slide-out keyboard, and tablet accompany the popular BlackBerry device.Wall Street Journal reported the action taken in the Canadian-based company to maintain its BlackBerry from losing their share due to Apple's iPhone and iPad, and the threat of mobile devices that use Google's Android operating system.
This touch-screen smartphone will use the new version of the BlackBerry operating system and works similarly to the iPhone, called the newspaper quoted 'people will be familiar with that device'.
Qwerty keyboard with slide-out design under the touch screen and users can also use the virtual keyboard. The new device has a storage capacity of 4 Gb and 5MP camera.
