Iran will create a special task force overseeing the new internet. The force aims to identify threats and remove them.
Anti-government activists in Iran relies on websites such as Twitter and YouTube to distribute information during the demonstration last year.
The demonstration was associated with re-election of hardline President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
"Police had to stand and operate the Internet within the next few months," said the security chief Major General Esmaeel Ahmadi Moghadam.
He said the force was necessary because the Internet is relatively new and very widely used. So unique and serious threat perceived by the user and society.
"Identifying the threats and eliminate them, and passed legislation in this sphere is part of an effort to prevent danger.
