Pakistan started watching some famous websites in upayaa to block content that is considered anti-Islam, one of which is Google.
Seven major websites, namely Google, YouTube, Amazon, MSN, Hotmail and Bing from Microsoft will be monitored and 17 other less known websites have been blocked under the order of the court because of allegations of religious humiliation smelling material, according to a spokesman of Pakistan Telecommunication Authority.
This followed the temporary blocking of movement imposed on Facebook Pakistan in May.
He added: "If the link (links) that contain certain offensive content appeared on this website, the link will be blocked as soon as possible, without disturbing the main site.
Robin Scott, a spokesman for Google, responded back that the company intends to monitor how the new policy will affect Google's services.
He added that "Google and YouTube is a platform for freedom of expression, and we try to make as much as possible. Content that can be accessed on our service and still be able to ensure how we implement our policies."
Yahoo said that Pakistan's action disappointing. Microsoft and Amazon have not respond to this.
